Text adventure STALKER

Post by wolf56 »

Loosely based on the book Roadside Picnic by Arkady Strugatsky later made into STALKER by Andrei Tarkovsky.

I'd appreciate feedback with regard to functionality. I've kept it close to the purist text adventure format.

I revisited this little gem and added a map function, which might be of interest.

Andrei,

Please review the Just BASIC Files Archives Terms of Service

The purpose of this forum is for sharing code, not merely hosting programs. You must include the .bas file with your .tkn file or you risk having this whole post deleted.

I, for one, am very interested in seeing this program. I do hope you will include the necessary .bas file so I can run it. :)

Apologies

Apologies new zip included with source file.

I did notice that one direction in the shed does not work correctly - I was going to debug it this weekend. but here it is anyway.

Thanks for adding the .bas file. I downloaded the program and have just gone a few places. You truly have a talent for storywriting. I'd suggest further discussion of the game take place at the Just BASIC Forum, where more people will actually see the discussion. Make an announcement of the game in the announcement boards.
I'm going back to playing the game a bit more now. :)

Stalker Version 1.4

I found that some directions didn't work. Now corrected.

BTW Andrei Tarkovsky was the director who made the film STALKER on which this game is based (loosely).
