I cant run it

Post by TyCamden »

I wonder why I cant run it.

When I try, it says:

#loading
These handles closed by Just Basic
Please add the appropriate CLOSE commands

then i click OK on the error and i get another that says:

Runtime error: The specified device is not open or is not recognized by MCI.
(see error log for more information)

Seams that the midi format of the .MID file is not supported by your installed codecs, you can replace them or just comment out the PLAYMIDI lines.

still a problem

Post by TyCamden »

I did as recommended and hit Run.

I got the following new error:

Runtime Error. File C:\Documents\...bmp\tank.bmp not found.
(see error.log for more information)

ALSO, I just discovered this oddity...

I open the BAS file
Then try to re-save it using Save as (same exact data and same exact program name)
I get the following error and cannot save it:

Runtime Error: The parameter is incorrect (OS error 16r57)
(see error.log for more information)

Wow. I open the BAS with your data (unchanged) and then cannot save it again. But... it saved the first time. !?! I am confused.

saving problem resolved

Post by TyCamden »

I had the saving problem with some other programs, and finally figured out that it had to do with the NAME of the program I was saving under.

When I renamed them, they work now.
