This is a program that I wrote many years ago when i had a spectrum 128. I have translated it into many different forms of basic. So I thought i would have a go at translating it into JB.
This is not the finished version but it runs eventhough some features do not work.
Any comments would be appreciated

Here is the latest version of this game. There are quite a few modifications in this version.

Another Update for this game.
I notice an error in the way I was working out the average price per share when issuing a bonus issue. This, I think, has now been rectified.
If any of you think otherwise then please tell me.

Sorry for the delay in updating this file.
I have made quite a few changes since the last update and working some of these out has taken some time.
I have altered the method of printing info on the market screen. This was for 2 reasons
1 Eventually I intend to have 10 markets. The way I was printing info was to call a label for each separate market with the appropiate info in the label.
2. Now each market label only has 3 or 4 lines and then calls another label to print the info. This will result in a much smaller program in the long term.
Have also added a graphic box for the tica news

third market added for which i must thank my daughter. this needs fixing and the only way to get it on my computer was to post here. will update as soon as possible.

You need to get the bmps from the previous version which needs "stockmarket" as the password to unzip. Put the bmp's in a bmp folder in the folder you unzip the.bas file to. Maybe Roger could spend some time and zip both the .bas and bmps together in a new zip without the password. It would help novices having alook at his program.alix wrote:Hi Roger,

My apologies to all of you who tried downloading the game and failed to get the bmp's.
I was on holiday last week at my daughters and asked her to post the file to the site. I didnot realise that she did not post the Bmp's as well.
I have rezipped the file and included all the necessary files and bmp's.

No password should be necessary now. That is another thing I have learnt how to do.
