tower defense

Post by NJames »

EDIT: I see that this has been downloaded many times, but I would suggest scrolling down to get the InitDefense.zip or one of Cassiope's versions. This original version is mainly for historical purposes- it's too simplistic.

A very, very simple tower defense game.

Instructions:
The creeps walk along the road. You may add towers to the grass squares by clicking on an empty space.

Thanks to Stefan for explaining the problem with using a SUB for timer events.

Chrismas Defense 3

Post by NJames »

Christmas Defense 3

The North Pole Snowmen always play a friendly game of "Snowball ambush" as the elves head to work on the morning before Christmas. This year, you get to help them win!

In this version, the Reindeer can add a much needed boost to the festive ambush. The Reindeer snowballs actually slow down the elves.

Sadly, I'm having trouble with the playmidi.

Click on the grass to add a tower. Right click to change between placing different types of towers. Click on a tower to upgrade it, or to view the stats for that tower.

Enjoy and merry Christmas!

Re: initialization

Post by NJames »

This version of Christmas Defense:
*** restarts if you lose the game, re-initializing the important variables
*** eliminates the mainwin as per wayne in the forum thread
*** eliminates the unnecessary creepPosX() and creepPosY() arrays
*** uses the tougher nextWave schedule to make game challenging

As of 12/29/2011 this would probably be the best version to use if you would like to change / upgrade the program, or build your own tower defense based on this one.

It would be nice to not include the error.log file.

May be you could use the Community Code Zip ;)
