I'm new to Just Basic (and programming for that) just a little vba. Some of the stuff and jargon here confuses the life out of me!
But finding JB and going through the tutorials plus reading somewhere that if you want to learn a language there is no better starting place than a game; spurred me on. So here's my version of an old favorite - snake.
Don't be too harsh - it all started to look like spaghetti by the time I was done. Any pointers gratefully received.

Still trying to get to grips with moving graphics about. For me it was a compromise between a flickering screen and a reasonable rate of movement. Any pointers would be appreciated.
I tried levelspeed at 100 but it was just too manic for me.
I tested the game out on my ten year old - it was his idea for the gameover as he said he liked the idea of it mocking him when he lost!!!
