LOTTERYBOOSTER VERSION 1.

Welcome to LotteryBooster SetSelector Helpfile.

The SetSelector uses the same principles as the main programme, so please see the Main "Help" file for explanations. While LOTTERYBOOSTER is designed to assist in boosting the individual players chances, the SetSelector in conjunction with the main programme is geared more to those people who play in groups/pools/syndicates, or who can afford to play many lines on their own. It basically chooses sets of numbers to use to play with LotteryBooster.

If you play all numbers in a 6/49 lottery, you have roughly 1 in 14 million chance of hitting the Jackpot, which decreases according to the amount of lines you play (so that would be 14 million divided by the amount of lines you play). If you take those 49 numbers and split them in two (i.e 25 numbers and 24 numbers) and ALL six numbers fall into either of these you would roughly have a 1 in 177,100 chance in the 25 numbers and 1 in 134,596 chance in the 24 numbers ( so that would be 177,100 or 134,596 divide by the amount of lines you play). In order to improve their chances of winning a JACKPOT, groups often pool their money so that they can play more lines and split the numbers into smaller groups to maximise the chances of winning bigger prizes by reducing the odds (but by doing this you also increase the chances that not all numbers will appear in the same group, so it helps to play the same sets of numbers over several draws). I use ALL 49 numbers to make sure that I have all SIX jackpot numbers (plus the bonus) in my sets in every draw.

Here is an Example strategy or method that I use:

You will generate 8 sets of 18 numbers (you'll probably get 7 depending on the filters you use), and then use these sets to generate 6 lines per set to play, so you will eventually have 42 lines of 6 numbers, but ALL 49 numbers will be represented. Each set of 18 numbers will give you a 1 in 18,564 chance of hitting the Jackpot IF all six numbers are in any given set (so playing six lines for each set will give you 18,564 divide by 6 = a 1 in 3094 chance of hitting the JACKPOT IF ALL SIX NUMBERS ARE IN THE SET). For your own strategy it is recommended that you NOT have more than 21 numbers or less than 12 numbers per set if you are going to use filters. If you are not using filters then the amount of numbers per set doesn't matter.

How to use SetSelector:

1.) Load a Draw History if you are going to use the Previous draw parameter/filter.
2.) Click the Last Draw checkbox and fill in the most recent draw if you are going to use that parameter/filter, if not just leave it empty (this filter is optional)
3.) Type 18 in "Numbers per set" box
4.) Type 3 in "Maximum occurence" box
5.) Type 8 in "How many Sets" box
6.) Click Previous draw check box and type in 6 (this filter is optional)
7.) Click Maximum Overlap check box and type in 6 (this filter is optional)
8.) Click on Generate Sets to generate the sets that you want (depending on the filters you choose and the speed of your computer, the generation of sets might take a few minutes. I usually stop it after about 1000 sets have been tested and then reset my parameters/filters if I do not reach the minimum 7 sets......it will rarely reach all 8 sets if you use filters)
9.) Use the Distribution key to see how the numbers are distributed and to see if all 49 numbers are represented, if not then regenerate. A 0 means none of that number is represented in the sets and then I regenerate till I have all numbers represented).
10.) Use the sets generated to generate 6 lines per set to play (so you will have a total of 42 lines to play after generating lines using the 7 sets).

Using this strategy playing in the SA 6/49 lotto I win something every time I play (so far), but yet haven't broken even recently. I have hit a couple of 4 numbers and one 5 number, but it's important to remember that this happens ONLY IF I HAVE MOST OF (5) OR ALL OF THE NUMBERS IN A SET. If not I usually only win one or two 3 numbers which means I make a loss on that draw.

REMEMBER: LOTTERY DRAWS ARE COMPLETELY RANDOM AND DON'T ADHERE TO PATTERNS. ONLY PLAY AS A HOBBY AND ONLY AS MUCH AS YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE. BUYING LOTTERY TICKETS IS NOT AN INVESTMENT AND DOES NOT GUARENTEE RETURNS!!!!!!!

Good Luck.
