WinEX JB Release Helpfile and Notes

Thank you for dowloading WinEX. Please read this file, as it will help you understand how to use WinEX.

1. Setting up WinEX
When you start WinEX for the first time, a logon screen will appear. Double-Click the users list, and then click "Log on". Now, you can set up the program.

2. Set up your programs to run with WinEX
Since so many programs around the world are in use, only one program is recognized by WinEX, that being Just BASIC v1.01, which was used to write WinEX. However, you can run any program, including your own, through the Control Center. To do so, simply click "WinEX", then click "Control Center". The Control Center dialog opens. Click "Program Setup", then "Add Program'" in the dialog that appears. Navigate to the program you would like to add, and click open. WinEX will ask you what to call the program, and it will be added to the list. Repeat the process as often as you'd like. Note that WinEX can only manage 80 programs. If you reach that limit, please e-mail webmaster@kingslakefamilyschool.net to inform us. Unfortunatly, the Programs Dialog itself does not recognize programs you have set up. However, it will appear on the WinEX menu.

3. Set up user accounts
You can configure WinEX so that each user can have their own shortcuts and Desktop Themes. Open Control Center, as described above, and click "User Accounts". Set up user accounts according to the directions on-screen.

4. Bugs & Ommited Features
In the development of WinEX, we accidentaly deleted the custom shortcuts and some themes. We apologize for this, and hope to add them in the update release, scheduled for November. Please report any bugs to webmaster@kingslakefamilyschool.net
