Tips & tricks

• Read this manual, it doesn't explain every function of the program, but it gives a lot of useful information.


• First completely finish the "home" page before adding new pages. The settings of the home page will be copied to newly created pages (except for "thumbnail" text and background images).


• To resize and rename pictures for thumbnails and images, use a batch resizer. This will allow you to rename and resize a lot of pictures with just a few clicks.

  Take care that "image" an "thumb" are written with small letters. It will work just fine with capital letters in Windows, but on a server (which is often Linux) the pictures will not be found if they contain capital letters.


• As for every website, keep the file sizes of images as low as possible to make the site load faster.


• Create a project and experiment with all the functions. You will quickly learn to use the program.


• After manually changing the HTML or CSS files of a page, don't build that page anymore with Easyalbum. Easyalbum will overwrite your changes!


• To keep the file sizes down, select "compact" in the program settings window. This will remove spaces, making the code hard to read, but smaller.


• By building the whole site there's no chance that links will be broken or missing. If you don't use "Build site" then you should update the menus after changing page names, adding pages etc.
